Library main room

The Wagin Library and Gallery is located in the old Dept of Justice Courthouse on Tudor Street, between the old National Bank building and the Wagin Town Hall.

Its well worth a look, the building is amazing and in really good condition. We have room for author events, workshops and poetry readings, we have a separate kids room with plans for school holiday events and the main court room is now home for all the fiction, non fiction and the art work.

We have retained all of the "Courtroom" effects with the witness and accused boxes now repurposed as seating, the Judges desk is the Librarians and the dividing fence which was in place to separate the gallery from the lawyers has been reinstated along one side wall.

We located various items onsite when taking over which we have kept, including the old affirmations used before giving evidence.
