Landholders Fact Sheet: Negotiating with Renewable Energy Developers

The Shire of Wagin and its neighbours are the site of potential renewable energy developments because of the proximity to power infrastructure in Collie. Several wind farm projects have been announced with more potentially into the future.
 
The installation of wind turbines requires the agreement of the landowner for access.
The Queensland Farmers Federation and Commonwealth Governments have produced comprehensive guides for landowners considering entering into an agreement with a renewable energy company (links below).
